Terms of Service — DenguCare

Short version: DenguCare is a free personal record-keeping tool for dengue illness. It is not a medical device or diagnostic service, your records stay on your device, and by using the app you agree to use it responsibly and not rely on it in place of professional medical care.

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using the DenguCare app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app. DenguCare is developed by Loonslab.

2. Description of the service

DenguCare is a mobile app that lets you record and review information related to dengue illness — including temperature, medication doses, fluid intake and output, lab results, dengue test results, and warning signs — for yourself or for someone you're caring for, at home or while admitted to a hospital ward.

3. Not medical advice

DenguCare is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice or diagnosis, and does not replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. The app's warning-sign checklist and reminders are informational aids only. Always seek the advice of a doctor or other qualified healthcare provider for any questions about a medical condition, and seek immediate emergency care for severe symptoms.

4. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter into the app.
You are responsible for keeping your device secure (e.g. lock screen), since your records are stored on it.
You agree not to use the app for any unlawful purpose or to attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or misuse it.

5. Your data

Records you enter are stored locally on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for backing up your own device if you want to preserve your records beyond it — DenguCare does not currently provide cloud backup, and uninstalling the app or clearing its storage permanently deletes your records. 6. Availability and changes to the app

We may update, change, or discontinue features of the app at any time. We'll try to avoid changes that cause data loss, but since the app has no server backend, we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of any particular app version on every device or OS update.

7. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DenguCare and Loonslab are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and are not liable for any health outcomes, decisions made based on information logged in the app, or data loss arising from device failure, app uninstallation, or storage being cleared. DenguCare is a record-keeping aid, not a substitute for professional medical judgment.

8. Termination

You may stop using DenguCare at any time by uninstalling the app. We may discontinue the app or restrict access to it if required by law or if we discontinue the product; since there is no account system, there is no separate account to terminate.

9. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continuing to use the app after an update means you accept the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Loonslab operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, to the extent permitted by local law.
